Nylacast showcase polymer advantages at the Engineering Design Show

The Engineering Design Show 2017 drew to a close on Thursday 19th October. The event which took place in Coventry, UK, bought together more than 4000 engineering professionals under one roof to view the showcase of British design and innovation on display from the exhibitors.

The exciting two-day event played host to 23 thought-provoking conference sessions and panel discussions with world-class engineering design experts including Williams Advanced Engineering, BAE Systems and the UK Space Agency. In addition, the exhibition also housed three workshop theatres open to visitors wanting to learn new skills or take away practical design tips and expert advice. One of these being a Nylacast workshop on the ‘Advanced applications of Nylacast nylons’.

Presented by Nylacast R&D Manager, Professor Malcolm F Fox, the workshop focused on key points and considerations for nylon applications and precision engineering.
Nylacast Engineered Products are used across a wide scale of industries for demanding applications. The many benefits to using engineering polymers within industry include lightweight, corrosion resistance, low coefficient of friction and the elimination of cathodic protection.

The Engineering Design Show returns to Coventry in 2018.
