Assembly & test Manufacturing

About the role:

As the assembly and test area manufacturing manager, I oversee all aspects, from health and safety to timely dispatch of customer orders at the required quality. This involves close collaboration with the engineering team, Supergrip and Pipeline Engineering teams in Darlington, and the PU production team at Viva. We conduct on-site product testing, ensuring a safe and procedure-compliant process with collective team effort. Additionally, I provide support to other departments when needed.

Length of Service:

I have been with Nylacast for over 25 years.

Career Progression:

I've undertaken numerous training courses to bolster the engineering team's growth, enhance skills, and broaden the scope of work. I completed courses including IOSH Managing Safety, Level 3 Team Leading, 6s Visual Management, Risk Assessment, Working At Heights, and Level 5 Operational Management. I am also a trained first responder.

Why Nylacast is an Employer of Choice:

I appreciate our diverse work, supporting Supergrip, Pipeline Engineering, and Nylacast projects, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met. Collaborating with various departments and addressing challenges as a cohesive team is rewarding. I maintain strong working relationships with all supported departments and enjoy volunteering with our various charity work and supporting where I can.
