Worldwide engineering solution provider, Nylacast, are pleased to announce the recent successes of GBR Rafting which they sponsor.

With a great track record, the Womens Great Britain Rafting team triumph in the IRF European Championships held in Bratislava, Slovakia, July 2014. The Championships took place at the end of July, with 71 teams from 18 European countries in the running. The Womens GB Rafting Team sent two teams; GBR1 and GBR2 in the Open Womens category and came out with the best results they have ever had.

Competing in a number of events including slaloms and sprints, GBR rafting proudly returned home with 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. Bryony Devoy, one of the Team Captains commented, “We are incredibly proud to have achieved our best ever results in a European competition! The whole squad have worked so hard and it has paid off massively with both teams coming home with medals. We won’t be resting for long though, as we have the World Championships in Brazil coming up this October. After our performance against some of the strongest European countries, we are looking forward to seeing what we can achieve in Brazil”.

With the extensive endurance, strength and commitment both GB teams have shown, it is evident why Nylacast are proud team sponsors. These qualities reflect those characteristics of Nylacast engineering polymers and components which boast high tensile strength, excellent wear, abrasion and corrosion resistance as well as excellent properties for use in salt water and tough conditions. The ladies team work, development and pure zeal make for deserved success in the championships, which is also a great result for Nylacast and their continued focus on the development of Polymers, Passion and People.

As team sponsors, Nylacast would like to congratulate the GBR Rafting Team’s fantastic results and wish these Sporting Superheroes the best of luck at the World Championships in Brazil later this year.
