Hours | Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 pm with a daily 60-minute lunch break

The Role: The New Business Development Executive will support the Sales Manager with business-to-business sales, by identifying sales leads, pitching Viva Nylons products to new prospects and managing opportunities to ensure prospect conversion.

  • Develop new sales opportunities with prospective clients, actively seeking new and repeat sales through phone calls, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Build relationships with key buying influencers.
  • Conduct market research to generate strong leads across all sectors, seeking ‘gap closers’ with products and sectors.
  • Prepare quotations and actively follow these up to obtain business.
  • Meet sales goals/performance measures.
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions where required, both national and international.
  • Work accurately and efficiently whilst under pressure.

 

Main duties include, however not limited to:

  • Previous B2B sales experience.
  • Motivation for sales and building long-lasting relationships with a positive attitude.Prospecting/lead generation skills.
  • Ability to meet/exceed sales goals and targets.
  • Professional manner with customers & colleagues, highly organised and flexible.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), CRM and ERP Systems.

The successful candidate must have a Full UK Driving Licence & be prepared to travel when required, being flexible and responsive in support of business needs.

Fabrication Supervisor

Job title | Fabrication Supervisor

Reporting To | Supergrip Production Manager

Location | Supergrip part of the Nylacast Group, Thurmaston Boulevard, Leicester, LE4 9LN

Hours | Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:30, with a daily 30-minute lunch break contracted to 40.00 hours per week, however, flexibility within hours of work is required as business needs dictate.

The Company:
Supergrip part of the Nylacast Group is a specialist Subsea Solutions Company with over 15 years’ track record offering services and products to the oil and gas and renewable industries. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual who is focused and dedicated to joining our proactive quality team.

 

Brief overview of job role:
Responsibility for the day-to-day running of a small fabrication department reporting to and assisting the production manager, this will be a hands-on role and experience in coded work is an advantage. Accurate Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, Fitting and testing of components across a variety of materials and industries, ensuring full adherence to HS&E & Quality at all times.

 

Main duties include, however not limited to:

  • Plan work through the department with the Production Manager
  • Oversee the general day-to-day activities and issue work accordingly
  • Accurately weld, fabricate & assemble complex assemblies to technical drawings ensuring a quality build
  • Obtain and maintain accredited coded welding qualification
  • Follow assembly, inspection and testing procedures if required
  • Ensure that company policies are adhered to by all team members
  • Be competent in using machinery to complete folding and rolling processes

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Formal Welding Qualifications (MIG & TIG) and ideally with experience in Coded Welding
  • Supervisory experience in a fabrication environment
  • Experience working with a variety of metals including exotic materials
  • Ideally with experience working with pressure vessels
  • Excellent and effective communication and organizational skills
  • Understanding of NDT (non-destructive testing) preferred
  • CSWIP 3.1 visual weld inspection experience advantageous (training can/will be provided)
  • Excellent communication skills

Maintenance Engineer

Location | The role will be based at our manufacturing site in Thurmaston, Leicester, LE4 9LN

Hours | Either working the Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm) or the Double Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00, rotating weekly)

Job role:
The Maintenance Engineer role will aid the overall effectiveness & efficiency of the division by reducing downtime on machines whilst continuously striving to improve processes to plant & machinery and furthermore to provide a support service to the production and to the Division in relation to maintenance issues to ensure machinery has maximum uptime possible.

Main duties include, however not limited to:

  • Responsible for Reactive / Breakdown Maintenance
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Support in the improvement of processes and machinery
  • Comply with Nylacast Ltd H&S policy and all statutory Safety, Health and Environment requirements and ·ensure that all H&S procedures and engineering best practices are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure accurate & timely records are entered/recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares/consumables used.
  • Ensure engineering downtime is accurately logged, monitor repair times, and find new methods/procedures to reduce these.
  • Provide engineering support to production to ensure efficient performance of all equipment.

 

Experience & requirements:

  • Must be a time-served engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Recognised engineering qualifications (essential)
  • Previous maintenance experience – manufacturing environment preferable (essential)
  • Competent electrical/electronic fault finding and analysis skills (essential)
  • Self-managing – Must be able to work under own supervision or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills

Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 to 06:00 with a daily break (Night Shift)
Or
Friday to Sunday/Saturday to Sunday, 06:00 to 18:00 or 18:00 to 06:00 with breaks (Weekend Shift)

The role:
As a CNC Programmer, you will be a pivotal member of the Manufacturing Team, utilizing your knowledge of either 3, 4 or 5-axis CNC Machining skills to optimize programs and machine efficiency.

 

Main duties include:

  • Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
  • Ability to program and prove out from technical drawings
  • Complete small batch work to technical specifications with minimal supervision
  • Complete first inspection
  • Working from technical drawings
  • Support, develop and mentor other colleagues & departments on technical machining issues

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to program CNC Turning and Milling Machines
  • Excellent knowledge of Fanuc & Heidenhain Controls
  • Attention to detail
  • Applicants will need to be proactive, able to work on their own initiative and assist other semi-skilled members of the team to reach their maximum potential
  • Excellent Communication skills
