What is a Piling Dolly?

A piling dolly, otherwise known as a pile driving cap or pile cushion, is a protective component used during operations to absorb and distribute the high-impact forces between the pile-driving hammer and the top of a pile. It serves as a buffer or shock absorber to prevent damage to both the pile and the hammer.
