Sales Apprentice

Job Title: Sales Apprentice

Reports to: Sales Manager

Location: The role will be based at our World Headquarters in Leicester, UK.

Brief overview of job role:

The Sales Apprentice supports the Sales Team in all areas of sales and business admin.

Main duties include:

  • Keeping well-organised files, records of business activity and providing office support to the sales department and customer.
  • Interacting with customers either on the phone via email or in person.
  • Understand selling and how to liaise with international customers (with English being the main language used)
  • Understand selling for a manufacturer
  • Understand selling for business to business
  • Following up on business communications, quotation’s, order status.
  • Communicating with internal departments such as planning & estimating, manufacturing, R&D, Engineering.
  • Using spreadsheets to track quote status, cost reviews, order processing.
  • Collecting and inputting company data in CRM & ERP system
  • Learning and understanding about the company and the available products/services, to allow discussion on business opportunities to take place with customer/prospects. Learning and understand how to exceed customer expectations.
  • Building relationships with the customers and suppliers.
  • Preparing documents to submit quotes/order confirmations
  • Understand and undertake administrative tasks for processing of customers’ orders.
  • Carrying out market research.
  • Assisting with minor technical support.
  • Scheduling appointments and events for the external sales team.
  • Participating in office meetings and taking meeting minutes.
  • Managing the phone system, by taking phone calls and transferring them to the right person/department. Taking messages and passing them on.
  • Being ready for any other administrative tasks that are required by the sales team/sales management.

  Qualifications/Experiences:

  • An interest in Business Administration and Sales
  • GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a daily 60-minute lunch break.

Main duties include:

  • Copywriting for multiple marketing communications (Social media, email, offline)
  • Running and contributing to SEO and Paid Search activities
  • Web reporting (Google analytics)
  • Website updates and improvements through Content Management Systems
  • Content creation and contribution to the brands social media channels
  • Market research and competitor analysis
  • Email marketing
  • Advertising management: briefing agencies and distributing artwork to an annual schedule
  • Assistance with event planning and management
  • Supporting the group marketing management in the day to day marketing activities
  • Contributing to and assisting with brand photography and videography
  • Marketing reporting
  • Marketing and business administration
  • Participating in office meetings and taking meeting minutes

We are currently growing our engineering team and as such are recruiting for the role of:

Mechanical Design & Project Engineer                  (Ref No: MDPEJAN18)

Job Description
The Mechanical Design & Project Engineer will be a key member of the Engineered Products Division,
providing essential Engineering & Project support to new & existing customers.

The Main Duties will be:

• Taking control of projects from initial concept through to design to ensuring fulfillment of customer
• Development of engineering solutions for customers
• Providing engineering design reporting, varying from design calculations to FEA simulation
• Working simultaneously across a variety of different projects
• To produce detailed and accurate 2D & 3D drawings for customers
• Keeping all documents up to date in accordance with the project
• Accurately issue documents to both internal and external customers
• Follow up customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Work closely with the Estimating & Planning function and Manufacturing Operations team
• Domestic and international travel to customer sites and suppliers as and when required
expectations

Requirements of the role
• Degree or qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of working in a Mechanical Engineering based environment
• Experience in the use of 2D drawing packages, preferably AutoCAD
• Experience in the use of 3D modeling packages, preferably Solidworks
• Competency in using Microsoft Projects
• Excellent communication, negotiating and presentation skills
• Excellent PC skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of a Quality Management System – ISO or TS

Reporting to: Engineering & Technical Manager

Location: The role will be based at our global head office in Leicester, however travel may be required both
domestically and internationally.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00pm with a daily 60-minute lunch break.

Brief overview of job role:

As a CNC Programmer you will be a pivotal member of the Manufacturing Team, utilizing your knowledge of 4 & 5 axis CNC Machining skills to optimize programs and machine efficiency

Main duties include:

  • Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency
  • Undertake any off-set changes to the programme to ensure the components are produced to the customer drawings/requirements.
  • Complete first off inspection
  • Working from technical drawings
  • Support, develop and mentor other colleagues & departments on technical machining issues

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to program and set CNC Turning and Milling Machines
  • Fanuc & Heidenhain Controls
  • Applicants will need to be proactive, able to work on their own initiative and assist other semi-skilled members of the team to reach their maximum potential
  • Excellent Communication skills

The Package:

  • A competitive salary dependant on skill and experience (OTE £30K to £40K – including overtime)

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00, rotating weekly with a daily break (Double Day Shift)

Or

Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 to 06:00 with a daily break (Night Shift)

The role will be based at our manufacturing facilities in Leicester.
