Continuous Development at Nylacast

Congratulations to a group of Nylacast team members who have successfully completed a two year, Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Management with Leicester College.

The course which was held at one of the Nylacast sites in Thurmaston, Leicester, was undertaken by staff from all areas of the business including sales, marketing, production and warehousing. Richard Metcalf, Sonia Dehal, Stewart Smith, Nick Green, Phil Corbett, Junaid Makda, Julian Eaton and Colin Brown all successfully completed the course over the 2011-2013 period.

Nylacast are proud to be able to provide their employees with in-house training opportunities such as this, in order to ensure the continuous development of knowledge, skill and ability within the company. Nylacast currently hosts similar courses in partnership with Leicester College in order to remain dedicated to the training and development of all our staff, through our commitment to continuous improvement.

HR Manager, Ian Mallabone commented, “The success of this programme has been very beneficial to both the individuals and the company. To carry on the success, we have now embarked on an ILM Level 2 in Team Leading NVQ course, with a group of team leaders across the business. Nylacast is committed to continuously developing our most valuable assets; our people”.
