Marketing Executive

Location |  Nylacast World HQ, Leicester, LE4 9LN

Hours |    08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a daily 1 hour lunch break

Following two recent business acquisitions, we are recruiting a digital-focused Marketing Executive to support the Marketing Manager in delivering further growth and brand presence worldwide.

Job role:

The role of the Marketing Executive is to support the Marketing Manager in overseeing the company’s marketing campaigns, both internally and externally.

Playing a key part in developing the marketing strategy, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual to take ownership of marketing projects and become the company champion of various industry sectors.

Main duties include, however not limited to:

• Support on the development of our brand identity, tone of voice and messaging
• Copywriting for multiple marketing activities including, web, email, case studies, and print (internal & external)
• Drive brand awareness through a variety of channels
• Create regular content to be used across a variety of digital platforms including external and internal
• Analysing SEO and building backlinks
• Social media planning, management and content creation including scheduling
• Organise and manage customer email campaigns
• Ensure everyone across the Nylacast Group is continually informed of news, events and updates
• Collaborate with and manage suppliers, agencies, third parties and partners
• Represent the company and our brand in the industry as required
• Engage in team planning sessions and present updates and project progress
• Occasional evening and weekend work to support with exhibitions and trade shows
• Create and distribute marketing materials
• CRM database management
• Produce timely and accurate report dashboards for the Marketing Manager and Management Team as required
• Perform ad hoc administration duties such as raising purchase orders
• Manage the storage and distribution of our asset library

Experience & Requirements: 

• Experience of working in a similar marketing role
• Ideally, hold a degree or professional qualification in marketing
• Forward-thinking and proactive mind-set, willing to fully immerse themselves into, and take ownership of new challenges.
• Excellent copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail
• Experience of working with design packages (e.g. Adobe) desirable
• A basic understanding of content management systems (i.e. WordPress) plus SEO skills would be helpful
• Comfortable using social channels including social media scheduling tools
• GDPR knowledge
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail
• Outstanding communication skills
• The ability to develop and build strong and personable relationships over the phone and in person with a broad range of individuals
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
• The ability to keep self-motivated
• High attention to detail

• Analytical and ambitious
• Working knowledge of digital marketing platforms including, SEO, PPC & email marketing
• High IT literacy skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe CC & CRM platforms

The successful candidate must have a Full UK Driving Licence & be prepared to travel when required, being flexible and responsive in support of the business needs.

Apprentice Engineer Technician

Job title | Engineer Technician Apprentice

Hours | 08:30–16:30 (Mon-Fri), 30-minute lunch

The Company:

The role will require the candidate to train to become an operator/setter/ programmer of CNC Milling/Turning Machines to produce a range of components to customer specifications.

We are recruiting an Engineer Technician Apprentice situated within our Technician department.

Job role:

Main duties include within the First Year:

  • Departmental Placements within Nylacast, which will give apprentices a good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental issues that arise to working right the way through to Quality, Inspection and Machine shops
  • Understanding Engineering Drawings and basic manufacturing techniques
  • Day/Block Release to college to study for Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeships
  • Work as a Team on a project set by the HR & Technical Trainers

Main duties after 1st Year include:

  • Continuing Day/Block  Release to College
  • Permanent Placement with one of the CNC Departments
  • Learning to Set & Operate the various machines within the department
  • Learning the CNC Programming Language
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard and in the interest of the company
  • To be flexible and carry out other reasonable requests made by the line manager to support departmental or company objectives

Experience & Requirements: 

  • Maths and English GCSE 4/C GCSE or equivalent required
  • A Science subject would also be beneficial but not essential

Job role:

This role is designed to provide an Apprentice with a wide range of experiences and administration skills.

  • To support the Engineering and Maintenance teams with the Procurement process.  Requesting quotations, raising purchase requisitions, progressing outstanding orders and resolving accounts queries as required.
  • Support the Engineering team in the administration of Bills of Materials for the building of machinery.  Learning and understanding the importance of accurately capturing information and controlling of Technical documents and drawings.
  • To work alongside the Drawing Office and provide support as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Research and Development department.   Reviewing and controlling Standards documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of Quality and Health and Safety documentation.
  • Co-ordinating the day to day activities and capturing tasks carried out by all Engineering sub-departments.
  • Communicating with both Internal and External contacts.
  • Using Spreadsheets to capture, review and analyse data.
  • Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations for the Projects team.
  • Support the Projects team in the preparation and control of project documentation.
  • Learning and using company computer systems.
  • General administrative tasks for all Engineering sub-departments, printing copying etc.
  • Participating in office meetings and taking meeting minutes.
  • Taking phone messages and passing them on.
  • Learning and understanding about the company and the available products/services.
  • Giving feedback on office efficiency and suggesting possible improvements.
  • Reacting to any other administrative tasks that are required by the company.
  • Adherence and understanding of Company Health and Safety procedures.

We are looking for a capable and motivated individual who takes a great deal of pride in their work and demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude towards their responsibilities.

Experience & Requirements: 

  • GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Communicating with customers to provide quotation, and the proactively following them up.
  • Participating in office meetings with the wider team

Experience & Requirements: 

  • A keen interest in business & sales with a willingness to learn.
  • Be comfortable speaking to customers and colleagues.
